About

Heather Riffle was born in southern Ohio and grew up around forests and abandoned farmhouses. As a child, she gathered with her cousins in her grandmother’s darkened hallway to listen to the eldest tell ghost stories. Her rural setting was the perfect backdrop for tales of romance and the supernatural, which she read voraciously.

She began writing at age thirteen and wrote her first young adult paranormal, a ghost story, at fifteen. In college, she began writing THE TIME-LOST GIRL (formerly TERRA INCOGNITA), which was inspired by a dream.

Today, her surroundings and dreams continue to inspire her work. She lives with an empath, a witch, a fairy princess, and an array of familiars at the edge of the deep, dark forest.
